Aug 2004 - His Holiness Pope Shenouda Visit To Houston
On the Weekend of August 20-22, 2004, Houston was blessed with the visit of
His Holiness Pope Shenouda III
Pope of Alexanderia and Patriarch of the See of St. MarkHe Blessed us with the following activities:
Friday, August 20 - Youth Meeting St. Mary Church
Saturday, August 21 - 1. Foundation Stone Prayers St. Mark Church
2. Thanksgiving Prayers Archangel Raphael Church
3. Congregation Meeting St. Mary Church
Sunday, August 22 - Consecration of the Altar and Divine Liturgy St. Mary ChurchIt was a great blessing for entire Coptic Houston congregation.
The entire visit was video taped and is available in the Church Bookstore in the form of DVD and VHS.

July 2004 - Grand Opening Of The Church
The First Liturgy in the New Church Building was prayed on Sunday July 25th.
H.G. Bishop Youssef officially blessed and began the services in the new church building on Saturday, July 24th, 2004.
The services began with the prayers of the 9th, 11th, and 12th hour prayers of the Agpia, followed by the Vesper Praises
His Grace Bishop Youssef arrived, and the deacons, with crosses and wearing their tunics, received him at
the door of the old church and escorted him upstairs to remove the relics of the saints.
They circled the upstairs church three times before coming back downstairs and heading toward the new church where
the relics were placed in their new homes.
After this, the bishop began the Vesper service followed by a sermon, and the Midnight Praises
H.G. prayed The Liturgy on Sunday, where he consecrated the Baptismal Font, and perfomed the first baptism, and ordained many deacons.The entire ceremony was video taped and is available in the Church Bookstore in the form of DVD and VHS.

Aug 21, 2002 - Construction Contract Signing
On Wednesday, August 21st, 2002, the Church Board, headed by the two Church priests, Fr. Isaac Solimon & Fr. Younan Labib, met with the parties involved with the construction of the new Church Building. The following contracts were signed:
Church Loan, Construction Plans, and Title Deeds. It was a great blessing and a great start for the new building.There are 14 images in this gallery
